GREEN EXERCISE PARTNERSHIP

This is a series of projects we have undertaken for the Green Exercise Partnership (Forestry Commission, NHS, SNH) to develop the health-giving properties of hospital grounds, encouraging active use through improved paths, signage, planting, growing spaces, orchards and meadow planting.
ORBISTON
North Lanarkshire
This is a thriving community facility developed by two local churches for all residents, but especially catering for the disadvantaged. MHLA designed a landscape that provided for all ages and abilities, from early years play to gardening for the elderly – and games for all.
PHEW RESPITE CARE
Motherwell
We designed a multi-sensory courtyard landscape for a new respite care centre in Motherwell, which incorporates an outdoor fish tank, fountains and water channels.
