PARKS
ROSSHEAD PARK
Alexandria West Dunbartonshire
This project was for the regeneration of a park at Alexandria on the River Leven. Historically there were many textile factories on the river, some specialising in a dye called Turkey Red, which was the inspiration for our bright red poppy planting. The water feature is solar powered from the roof of an adjacent tower block.
ROTHESAY LADE PARK
Rothesay, Isle Of Bute
The first ever water-powered flax mill was built close to this site on the Rothesay Lade on the Isle of Bute. Inspired by this history, our design used a ruined stone wall as the focus, with landscape features spinning off this central rod like spokes of a wheel.
